뮤지컬 오페라의 유령(1986)의 동명 타이틀곡입니다. 1막에서 오페라 극장 지하로 향하는 배 위, 유령이 크리스틴을 자신의 은신처로 데려가는 장면에 흐르는 듀엣으로, Angel of Music 다음이자 The Music of the Night 직전에 놓입니다.
가사는 두 사람의 의식이 포개지는 과정을 그립니다. 크리스틴은 잠과 꿈속에서 자신의 이름을 부르던 목소리를 떠올리고(In sleep he sang to me, in dreams he came), 그 목소리의 주인인 유령이 이제 내 마음속에 있음을 깨닫습니다. 유령은 'sing once again with me, our strange duet'이라 속삭이며 그녀를 향한 지배력이 점점 강해진다고 노래하는데, 이 곡의 섬뜩함은 두려움과 매혹이 분리되지 않는 데서 나옵니다.
