화자는 남들이 꺼리는 궂고 거친 일을 마다하지 않는 인물입니다. 'I'm not an it girl, more like a hit girl'이라는 한 줄이 곡의 태도를 압축합니다. 예쁘장한 이미지에 갇히기를 거부하고, 곱게만 보려는 시선을 정면으로 받아칩니다.

'Dirty Work'는 에스파가 2025년 6월 발표한 첫 싱글 앨범의 타이틀곡입니다. 본래 무산된 미국 정규 앨범의 수록곡으로 준비됐다가 단독 타이틀로 자리를 옮긴 곡으로, 뮤직비디오는 충남 당진 현대제철 공장에서 촬영해 중장비와 공업적 질감으로 곡의 거친 결을 시각화했습니다. 발매 직후 90만 장이 넘는 초동 판매를 올렸습니다.
